Last week, my husband and I flew to Mississippi to visit my sister and brother-in-law. Besides not being able to breathe from the humidity and getting bit by every mosquito alive, it was a fun trip. I'd never been to the South East before. I even got to taste sweet tea for the first time!
Here's the Waverly Mansion. A little creepy at first, but inside it was beautiful and full of history.
The Mississippi River...
I couldn't believe this little tropical looking guy was in there!
And I thought this was only done in Huckleberry Fin type movies..
A few weeks late, but some fun portraits of the Motas. We were able to take these right before the hot weather began. Interesting fact: each of these kids' first letter of their first names spells out their last name when put together. Coincidence? I thought it was pretty cool.

My neighbors had a sort of family reunion last weekend and wanted some family photos done in front of the backdrops. It was lots of fun and lots of work trying to get all of the 9 grandchildren to smile and not blink for the group photo. Thanks to the parents for all your help! Here are some of my favorites of Myra and her 3 month old daughter, who is the newest addition to the grandkids.
A few of the grandkids were brave enough to solo! (For at least a minute)
Monday I took some graduation portraits for Shalena and Precious. They are both graduating next month with their Bachelor Degree in the medical field and are halfway to becoming doctors! First we took some cap and gown portraits in my home and then went down to the beach for some great sunset portraits. These pretty girls they made my job easy! Who says you can't have brains and beauty?!
Well, last week my husband and I returned home from our ten day stay in Japan. We led a group of ten people, mostly students, to tour the island of Kyushu and to experience the Japanese culture. Even though we were a week too early for the blooming of the Sakuras, a.k.a Cherry Blossoms, there were still many colorful scenes to capture. So, here are some pics of the beautiful island...
